The full moon day in the month of Ashad (July) is dedicated to the worship of Guru, the preceptor who guides and moulds us. Celebrated as Guru Poornima, every individual pays his gratitude and homage to his guru on this auspicious day. “Gu” means darkness and “Ru” means dispelling. Guru thus refers to the one who dispels the darkness of ignorance.
The best way of expressing reverential gratitude is by introspecting each one’s Guru’s teachings and to resolve to practise it. This is the best offering or Guru Dakshina !
On this holy occasion, we invite Balvikas Gurus to come up with activities, games, crafts, quiz, role-plays, songs, stories, essays, drawings, posters, wallpapers, short films, documentary work or any other creative inputs related to the festival.
