Heat oil and fry cumin



Fry onions



Add Capsicum and fry



Add ginger garlic paste



Add spices



Add salt and mix well



Add crumbled panner



Spread the paneer studying on the bread



Add grated carrot and coriander



Place one more bread on the stuffing



Toast till golden brown

  • Bread slices – 6- 8
  • Crumbled or grated paneer – 200 gms
  • Finely chopped capsicum – 1 small
  • Grated carrot - 2 medium sized
  • Chopped onions – 1 medium sized
  • Ginger garlic paste
  • Chilly powder – ½ tsp
  • Garam masala – ½ tsp
  • Coriander leaves finely chopped
  • 2 tsp of oil
  • ¼ tsp of cumin
  • Salt as required


  1. In a pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds. When they splutter add onions and fry until golden.
  2. Add capsicum and ginger garlic paste and fry till the raw smell goes.
  3. Now add, turmeric powder, garam masala, chilly powder and salt and fry for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Then add crumbled paneer and give a good mix and turn off the stove.
  5. For making sandwich, apply butter or ghee on one side of the bread slice . spread the paneer filling , layer with some grated carrots and coriander leaves.
  6. Cover with another slice of bread and press down the sandwiches with a flat spoon.
  7. Paneer sandwich is ready. Cut and serve hot with ketchup .

Variations and Health benefits :

To make the sandwich more cheesy, you can layer the sandwich with grated cheese or cheese slices. Tomatoes can be added to the filling. Not only carrots, veggies of your choice like beetroots, cucumber and sweet corn can be added to the filling.
