Channa salad is a tasty, healthy and easy with simple ingredients. It makes a wonderful​ morning breakfast or mid – morning snack or after school snack.


Pressure cook Potato and Channa 4-5 whistles

Get ready with potato cut pieces and chopped coriander leaves.

Add all the ingredients to the cooked channa and mix well. Squeeze lemon.

Yields: 4 persons


  • Kabuli channa - 1cup
  • Thinly sliced Onions - 1/2 cup
  • Boiled potato - 1/2 cup
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Chat masala powder - 1/2 tablespoon
  • Pepper powder - 1/2 tablespoon
  • Chopped coriander leaves -1 tsp
  • Salt - as required.


  1. Wash and soak channa overnight.
  2. Boil it in pressure cooker 4-5 whistles
  3. Add all the ingredients to the cooked channa and mix well.
  4. Garnish with Coriander leaves .
  5. Squeeze lemon juice before serving.
  6. VARIATIONS : Onions and potatoes can be avoided. Adjust the amount of pepper powder and chaat masala powder according to your taste.
  7. VARIATION 2 : Onions can be excluded.
