Jesus loved children very much. One day, Jesus who was very tired was resting in the afternoon. Soon a group of village children came to see him. They all loved Jesus and wished to hear his stories. But as the children came nearer, the disciples of Jesus shouted at them and asked the children to go away as their master was resting.
On hearing voices, Jesus got up and came out. He called out to the children and told them that he was very happy to see them. He then moved towards the rock and sat on it.
The children all crowded around him – some sat on his lap, while others leaned on his shoulders and started to play with his hair. Jesus also laughed and played with them and told them many good stories. When they had enough of his love and attention, the children got up and went back to the village.
Looking at the disciples Jesus said, “You must learn to be like these children if you want to enter the kingdom of God.”
