Dalia Halwa or Broken Wheat Kesari is a delicious and healthy sweet dish which is made with broken wheat and jaggery. It is a very popular prasadham for Sathya Narayana Swamy at Annavaram Temple. Let us see how to make this simple nutritious recipe.
Take 1 cup Dhalia or Broken Wheat.
Dry roast broken wheat till nice aroma arises.
Boil 3 cups of water.
Now add the roasted broken wheat to the boiling water and cook for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, take jaggery in a pan, add 3/4 cup of water and allow it to melt. Strain the jaggery syrup to remove the impurities.
Add the jaggery syrup to the cooked broken wheat and cook it for 15 minutes. Add 2 teaspoons of ghee.
Healthy and tasty Dhalia Halwa or Broken Wheat Kesari is ready.
